What does a slow fetal heartbeat at 5 weeks mean?
I had this happen about 2yrs ago I was 5 weeks and 4 days and fetal heartbeat was only 66 bpm they explained to me that it was one of 2 things either the heart had only just started beating and would pick up speed or it could end in miscarriage unfortunately I went back a week later and it had stopped beating I was devastated but I have heard many stories like this that have had a very happy ending. I know it is very hard to think something may be wrong but try not to stress only time will tell. You could also go to your Dr and have your HCG tested then again 48hrs later to make sure it is doubling it might put your mind at ease while you wait for your next scan.
