What does a Radiologic Technologist Do??
Technologists are responsible for accurately demonstrating the appropriate anatomy on a radiograph (or computerized image) through positioning the patient. Technologists also determine and select the proper exposure factors that will yield a quality radiograph or image while maintaining the radiation exposure to a minimum. In doing so, patient care needs to be provided. This could include assessing vital signs (blood pressure, respiration), changing patient clothes, alleviating his/her fears through proper communication and sometimes in emergency situations providing CPR.
