What does a person who was home schooled need to go to college?
My two oldest daughters were homeschooled their whole lives and are now in college. There are a number of things that I will share. But, first let me ask you… 1. Do you WANT to go to college? That in my opinion is the most important question you should be asking yourself. It won’t matter if you’re super smart or have the money to go to college if you don’t want to be there. 2. Take the PSAT and ACT exams. You can take them through you local public school. My girls all took them in their sophomore year to get a feel for taking tests. It was very good practice. There are self-help CDs out there that are very good at helping to raise your score. 3. Study and take some of the CLEP exams. It will save you lots of time and money if you can test out and earn credits now. 4. Keep track of all your subjects that you are covering and make a transcript.
