• Valid ID issued from the Iowa Department of Transportation with a current address • Completed application • Justification approved by the Harrison County Sheriff (NOTE: Harrison County does not issue permits for self-protection.) Completing the above tasks will enroll an individual to attend a weapons class. After successful complete of the class, the individual must then pay for the permit, which is an additional $10.00 cash charge. The cost to renew the permit each year thereafter is $5.00 cash.
