What does a Non-Muslim get out of interpreting our scriptures for us?
Hum, a thought provoking question of course. Mankind is born inquisitive, curious besides so many other traits that a man possess. Therefore, exploring religious point of views, ideologies is but natural, especially by the People of the Book (Jews & Christians) for we all believe in the same God of Abraham. You see, the best Interpretation of Koran written down in English language is by ‘Arthur John Arberry’ a British Professor of Linguistics at Oxford University. His work was first published in 1955 as “The Koran Interpreted”. He made a fair attempt to give a good & the right feel of Koran to the English Speaking audience. Although the gentleman was a Christian by faith but he upheld justice when interpreting Koran, however ealrier than Arthur J Arberry Esquire, Koran was translated or interpreted in certain other European Languages with malafied intentions.
