What does a Music Therapist do?
A Registered Music Therapist (RMT): • assesses individuals and groups to identify abilities and needs. • develops goals and objectives that address the individual needs of clients. • selects and employs appropriate musical techniques, methods and activities, combined with a well designed and planned therapeutic process that will achieve program aims. • regularly evaluates sessions to ensure effective program outcomes.
