WHAT DOES A MEB BASIC INSTRUCTOR DO?
An agency trainer (hereafter MEB Basic Instructor) can certify his/her agency officers that have successfully completed the initial 4-hour MEB Basic Course. It is the responsibility of a MEB Basic Instructor, who is working either at an agency or is a self-employed/independent trainer, to appropriately document training, as well as recording test results, according to MEB Basic Course procedures and test forms. GENERAL INFORMATION: The Monadnock Police Training Council (hereafter “MPTC or Council”) makes the Monadnock Expandable Baton (MEB) Basic Instructor Course available to public and private law enforcement (hereafter criminal justice) agencies. Criminal justice agencies may enroll an agency trainer(s) in a MEB Basic Instructor Course or host a MEB course at an agency facility. An agency trainer who holds the title of MEB Basic Instructor may teach and certify other qualified law enforcement, corrections, military, and private security personnel in the following Council program.
