What does a growth philosophy mean?
The above average growth rate of a companys projected earnings is the most important factor in growth investing. We believe that companies with compelling growth characteristics will generate superior long-term returns. We seek growth at a reasonable price in companies that generate strong free cash flow and which re-invest cash flow back into the business. We focus on companies whose products and services are distinct from their competitors offerings and which typically have impressive management focused on increasing market share. In particular, we focus on stocks that fall into three broad categories. 1) Secular growth companies that operate in industries that are growing exponentially and are likely to continue growing through the current economic and market cycle. 2) Cyclical growth companies which are well managed with substantial long-term growth prospects but with a high degree of sensitivity to cyclical economic forces. 3) Stocks benefiting from corporate restructuring.
