What does a Financial Assessment involve for Non Residential Services?
Our Financial Assessment Officers, who are also Welfare Benefits Advisors, will carry out a Financial Assessment of your individual circumstances. They work to provide specialist information and support to identified social services clients. They do not provide a direct service to the public, but currently work with people who are already using our social care services. This is in accordance with the Council’s Charging Policy (PDF) for Community Care Services. We need full and accurate details so that we can determine your ability to contribute towards the cost of the care package, inform you of your correct contribution as soon as possible and make sure that we provide the appropriate benefits advice to you. You don’t have to pay for advice and information, or for an assessment.
