What does a Design Technician do?
Design Technicians translate ideas and rough sketches into detailed drawings, which enable other workers to manufacture the product according to those drawing requirements. Design Technicians specialize in particular fields such as Architecture, Electronics, Engineering, Mechanical Drafting, etc. using CAD and/or manual drafting skills and equipment. As skill levels develop, the Technician may become involved in field or shop support and coordination.
