What does a breach of confidentiality mean?
In some cases, such as when there is an immediate threat to a person’s safety (yours or another person’s), or when there is knowledge of current child abuse our telephone counselling staff will report these matters to the relevant authorities as is required by law. In such a case, the matter requiring reporting will be discussed with the client prior to action being taken.
