What does a blended learning course look like?
A blended learning course consists of face to face sessions along with online work. Blended learning recognizes that adult learners want face- to-face interaction, but need the flexibility to accommodate their busy lives. Hence, the face to face sessions are reduced, usually to about six to eight classes. So rather than coming to the university every week for twelve weeks, students come half the time to campus and with the remaining weeks working at their computer. The first class is usually offered face to face, and in this first class participants are given an orientation to online learning. Continuing Education also provides support throughout the course should you have any difficulty with the technical aspects. During the weeks with no face- to- face classes, students participate online.
