What does a Behavioral / Program Design Specialist Do?
A Behavioral/ Program Design Specialist (BPS) will work closely with the families of children with disabilities to address their individual areas of need. Beginning at the current skill level of the child, the BPS creates programs that the family and support staff can implement to increase the child’s independence, community integration, and/ or school inclusion. The BPS also meets regularly with the parents to discuss progress, concerns, and future goals.
