WHAT DOES 8TH WONDER OF THE world MEAN??
Two people in antiquity, Herodotus and Callimachus, compiled a list of the Seven Wonders of the World (Which we know as the 7 wonders of the ANCIENT world.) Their writings haven’t survived themselves, but we do know what was included in them thanks to references found in other documents. The wonders are: 1.Great Pyramid of Giza 2.Hanging Gardens of Babylon 3.Temple of Artemis ar Ephesus 4.Statue of Zues at Olympia 5.Mausoleum of Maussollos at Halicarnassus 6.Colossus of Rhodes 7.Lighthouse of Alexandria So, to say something is an “8th wonder” is to say that it is so spectacular that it deserves to be categorized with the other 7 wonders.
