What does 13 or 16 ounce vinyl mean?
Vinyl banner material is rated by the weight. The 13 ounce material simply means the material weighs 13 ounces per square yard of material. We use 13 or 14 ounce material for our single sided banners and 16 ounce material for double sided banners(this material also includes a “block-out” layer in the material to keep a shadow from showing though on the other side of the banner) We would highly suggest to avoid 8 or 10 ounce material as what may seem like a slight difference in weight is actually quite significant.
