Death claims for the sake of processing are split into 2 different categories, as below: • Natural Death Claim • Unnatural Death Claim In case of a natural death claim, the following standard documents will be required: • Original Policy Document and Death Certificate • Claimants Statement and photo ID proof (In case the death has taken place outside India, the Claimant is also required to submit Death Abroad Questionnaire) • Attending Physicians Statement, Hospital Treatment Certificate with relevant medical records • Employers Certificate Form, incase employed and details of other insurance policies • Legal evidence of title where there is no nomination, assignment or the policy has not been issued under Married Women’s Property Act Unnatural death claims are those where the death of the Life Assured occurs for any reason other than natural or due to illness. In such cases, the following additional documents need to be submitted.
