What documents do I need when going on a Mexican Cruise with Royal Caribbean?
If you are a US citizen and are going on what’s called a “loop cruise”, that is it leave from a US port and returns to that same port, then you can use a passport if you have it, OR if you do not have a passport you can use an original or certified copy of your birth certificate AND you will need a Gov’t issued photo ID, such as a drivers license. This is from the RC web site: “U.S. citizens on closed-loop cruises (cruises that begin and end at the same port in the U.S.) will be able to enter or depart the country with proof of citizenship, such as a birth certificate and laminated government issued picture ID, denoting photo, name and date of birth.
