What documents are required to verify the status of an Indian-owned economic enterprise?

A. The FAR allows self-certification. However, if you have questions on the validity of the Indian-owned business or the Native American him/her-self, you may notify the Bureau of Indian Affairs. See Subpart 26.103 Procedures-Indian Incentive Program. Another alternative is to request from the person in question a copy of his Tribal certificate. They all have certificates indicating their affiliations.
