What documentation must the vendor provide, and purchaser obtain? When must the purchaser obtain the required information?
The vendor must supply a correctly completed NVD/waybill for all sheep and goats consigned to a saleyard, abattoir or another property. Purchasers of sheep and goats at saleyards must obtain from the selling agent a copy of the vendor’s NVD or, a copy of a post-sale summary listing the date, PIC of consignment, number and description of animals, all PICs present on tags carried by animals in the consignment and the answers recorded on the NVD. Purchasers should request this information within 7 days of the purchase of the sheep or goats. Potential purchasers of sheep and goats are strongly encouraged to check whether a correctly completed NVD is available and the answers given are appropriate in respect to their requirements before bidding on a lot. Copies of movement documents must be retained by both the vendor and the purchaser for at least seven years. 27. Will the selling agent supply a copy of the required movement documentation and NVD to a buyer? Upon request, an agent must pro
