What do you think of the work of illusionists Criss Angel and David Blaine?
The more attention focused on the art of magic, the better. After all, it is the oldest of all the performing arts, practiced in an unbroken succession through the ages. Where do the ideas come from for your illusions? I still look to movies and theater for inspiration for my illusions. I love what can be done with CGI and the green screen in movies like the Matrix movies or King Kong. To see something absolutely impossible look so real inspires my magic. And I love the reaction of the audience. But most often, my illusions come from a dream, nightmare or something as simple as an encounter on the street. Others come from my international travel to far-away lands and exotic locations. Is there any danger in your work? How do you deal with it? The danger is very real.
