What do you think of the Muslim custom of buying the wife & selling the daughter?
what makes the difference if someone likes it or not when muslims who do it like it. It’s an old custom and it’s practiced throughout the middle east and asia whether they are muslims or not. Muslims dislike America because we evolved and they are stuck in ancient times, and probably part of that is because of the ecological area where they and their ancestors have lived. Sure some change but their higher ups don’t want them to change because their religion is their government whereas our religion is not governed by the government. And that’s why their tradition is so strong. Remember too that the men there made the rules and the women have no say-so, the women are owned and are bought. Laws in America changed around the 1980’s wherein the women are no longer chattel. Even the European customs used to have customs and traditions (maybe still do) of the woman having a hope chest and money and clothes for herself and her household as well as land to offer her husband (from her father).
