What do you think of the chevy traverse commercial?
There are too many assumptions that must be made by the viewer that leaves this ad unclear. So, here’s our dream guy doing all the things we wish he would do, but I keep getting stuck on two details. First, he is thoughtful enough to make reservations celebrating their six month anniversary… but he is ironing the dress of a child. So then I get caught up in the details… is this a step child? Why not celebrate six and a half years… So this vehicle is so good that its like a husband that scrubs toilets, folds laundry… Hmmm, I would think about buying one more seriously if the lessons for the husband came with the Traverse!
I think it is a good commercial, aimed towards women. I keep seeing post on the web from people saying they don’t get it, but it seems very clear to me. “It’s everything you ever wished for…and then some” flashes on the screen and that sort of explains it. Cute guy doing all of the house chores you don’t want to do and then it flashes to the car. It is then implied that the car is a ’dream come true’, too. Back to the cute guy scrubbing toilets. Then the woman rubs her eyes, like she is dreaming. Makes me think that this car is just a great as having a hot guy clean my house…sign me up!
