Salam for you In Islam remarriage after the death of ones spouse, especially for woman can be done as long as after the iddah period has been passed e.g. 4 months plus 10 days For man has no iddah period.He/she can seek the ones who is fit for him/her as spouse of the rest of his/her life A widow in Islam could decide herself to whom she will get married because she has an experience about that. The wali usually her father will agree to whom she wants to get married.. In a remarriage requirements mahr or wedding gift or dowry should be given by the bride groom to the bride.
