What do you think of Diamond-Simulant Gemstones?
Since you said yourself “I don’t want a fake ring” I think no matter what anyone tells you about manmade diamonds (not be confused with “simulated” diamonds, which aren’t diamonds at all) you’re still going to want one someone pulled out of a mine. What sort of jewelry you want to wear is your business, but don’t justify not wanting a manmade diamond because of its “acceptability” as an engagement ring. The fact that is that engagement rings can have any stone or no stone at all and it really doesn’t have anything to do with marriage, engagement, or anything else that is relevant. My stepmother has a lovely sapphire engagement ring and my good friend has a pearl. Another friend wore a plain band during her engagement, another chose not to have a ring at all. All of these people made the right decision for themselves and it seems you’ll have to make a similar decision.
