I feel that it is the fact that we have plateaued in many areas and if we do not find new strategies we will begin to decline. We have solved the theological issues but we now need to create a mega strategy that includes new moves forward. In my blog I will describe what I mean by a mega strategy. If we do not do this then our glory days will be over. One of my first jobs would be to call all Southern Baptist to a “sacred assembly” which has only three ingredients: prayer, fasting and confession of our sins. Avery Willis and Henry Blackaby have helped me to understand this concept. It appears as if only the leader of an organization can call its people to such a “sacred assembly”. I would do it.
