Two DFO furniture stores closing Pittsburgh Business Times – by Tim Schooley DFO Designer Furniture Outlet, the value-oriented retailer started by the owner of Today’s Home, is closing down two of its stores. The company ran stores-closing-forever sales over the weekend at its stores in Monroeville and Robinson Township that were advertised in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Jeff Lechner, the second-generation owner of Today’s Home, said he plans to redevelop the Monroeville property for something else yet to be determined. The Robinson store will move to Greentree, near where the company already has a Today’s Home store. Lechner first opened DFO as a new growth vehicle in 2002, opening the first DFO at the Pointe at North Fayette and then converting a Today’s Home store in Monroeville to DFO in 2004.
