Two of his best-known movies, “Pink Flamingos” and “Hairspray,” will be screened at the film festival. “We are thrilled to have John Waters at the Virginia Film Festival. He is a fearless artist whose work as a filmmaker and actor has consistently pushed the established order and opened doors to new forms of expression,” said Festival Director Jody Kielbasa in a press release.
