What do you think about Newsweeks latest General Election poll results?
I think it’s about right considering the angry mood of the country. But a 15 point lead in June is like a football team being one touchdown ahead at the end of the first quarter. It’s good, but there’s a lot more of the game to go. The Republicans really have no shame when it comes to electoral politics. They will stop at nothing. Karl Rove may have quit his job at the White House but he is still involved. We haven’t seen what tricks they have up their sleeves, what slander and libel campaigns they’ll come up with, how they will manipulate the news media, etc. etc. These guys play to win every hand. Don’t expect them to just sit this one out. There’s trillions of dollars at stake in oil leases, no-bid defense contracts, ‘faith based’ grants, etc. etc.
