Dick Kinzel (CEO of Cedar Fair, operator of Geauga Lake and neighboring Cedar Point) has finally gone senile. Let’s crush a 119-year-history, upsize the water park while flattening the side that can actually operate more days out of the year compared to a water park, while using the word “exciting” to describe the change, when Cedar Point has it’s own INDOOR water park just up the interstate. I’m from Texas, so forgive me if I just don’t see how an outdoor water park in Ohio can be all that exciting. Did he hire Kieran Burke, the fired CEO of the practically bankrupt Six Flags, as his consultant? This was the man responsible for totally flattening AstroWorld in Houston.
