What do you think about Erykah Badus nude video, and her subsequent charge for disorderly conduct?
I believe that Erykah’ s creative direction was steared in the right way, but when you get corporate’s hands on it to put their spin on it, it kind of clouded her initial vision. Obviously, she intended a subliminal message, but spun out of control with the meaning of how the public looks at the shock value of popular events, icons and celebrities; and we the public feed into it and somehow get or have been desensitized with so much immoral behavior and gore in the media. I believe her message was: LOSS IN TRANSLATION!!! We cannot say, “Oh, what if it was a white women that did that stunt, would they have said anything about it”, or…is it her way of re-hashing yourself, because she is old news…… or do we all (Group Thinking) have a hand in this because we courage it. Most people who saw this video clip were blinded by the fact that she was stripping naked in broad daylight in front of adults and children,….. But we, as a society are being stripped naked everyday of our morals,
