What do you think about airing the council shows on cable tv?
A. This is a mixed bag. I like it. I hate it. That might be confusing but let me try to clarify this really simple feeling I have. It is often an embarrassment to watch the antics and behavior of the people at the meetings right now. That notwithstanding, I feel its a great way for people to see what really goes on downtown and who is and who isn’t working for them. I would like to see the production quality of the show raised. I think that if the city would get on board with it and handle it themselves, (or fund a private person) it could be done much more professionally with good quality sound that would allow citizens to better hear people speaking from the floor. I’m not looking for Spielberg type production here- and I’m not complaining about the person that does it for free- just make it so everyone can see and hear it better.
