What do you need to study to become a psychologist?
The education path often followed by psychologists is to first earn a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or a related field, and then attend a Ph.D. program in Psychology. However, some psychologists study under a Psy.D. program. Also, if you’d like to become a psychiatrist, who is capable of prescribing psychotropic medicine, you would attend medical school following your Bachelor’s program.
