The requirements for a Paratransit or Commuter Van license are the same as those for a Taxi license, with the exceptions that: a) An original Social Security card. b) a medical history form (Form B); c) completion of Taxi school; and d) completion of a NYS DMV-certified defensive driving course IS NOT REQUIRED. e) HOWEVER, PARATRANSIT AND COMMUTER VAN DRIVERS MUST BE 19-A CERTIFIED.
