What do you mean by Afrocentricity and Pan Africanism?
Afrocentricity, in few words, is the re-centering of Africa in the life and experience of African People and the reconnection of the African mind and soul with the African heritage and worldview. Afrocentricity was coined and developed as a systemic theory by Prof. Molefi Kete ASANTE of Temple University, Philadelphia, USA. It consists in studying, understanding, talking about and dealing with the reality and problems from an African Perspective. Thus, being Afrocentric is to celebrate the African agency, worldview, culture and history and to commit oneself to the Pan African Liberation and the end of all forms of domination and exploitation affecting Africans on the continent and abroad.
