It’s been theorized that in the early formation of the solar system, solar wind from the sun stripped most of the gases off of Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars leaving a rocky core behind on each planet, with only a thin or no atmosphere. This just confirms that the process that created Earth is a normal phenomenon that happens fairly regularly throughout the galaxy. I’m still scratching my head wondering why SETI hasn’t picked up radio transmissions from dozens of planets by now. Either way, I believe it’s only a matter of time before we develop telescopes which can detect chlorophyll on these other plants, and do indeed find other green worlds.
