What do we do when a neighbor puts out their brush and leaves weeks before the scheduled pick up?
There is no regulation preventing the neighbor from placing leaves or brush on the terrace ahead of schedule. However, “No rubbish or refuse to be collected by the City shall be deposited upon the terrace of any street within the City Of Madison more than (12) hours before the date designated by the Street Superintendent for rubbish collection in the district in which said premises are located.” (MGO 10.18.) If a neighbor violates this ordinance, then the resident may call the Inspection Unit to complain.
