That’s a question we recently asked over 1500 Victorians in telephone interviews we conducted as part of our market research. Victorians ranked the following four features of most importance on a health website: • That the information is reliable and trustworthy • That the information is checked by experts • That the information is regularly updated • That the language is easy to understand. We’re planning on presenting the full results of our market research findings in a seminar for content partners early in 2007. Content partners get media mention The Sunday Age, Life magazine “DIY diagnosis” 15/10/06 This article about the plusses and minuses of the Internet for health information recommended the Better Health Channel, saying: ‘this site is written for consumers in plain language and has easy-to-understand fact sheets, including ones on rare conditions. All the content is reviewed by medical experts to ensure reliability and that the information is up-to-date.
