What do u think about genetically engineered food?
FYI you are already eating GM (Genetically Modified ) food. We have been for some time. As far as we can tell it is pretty safe and pretty useful growing GM crops. We can incorporate desirable traits into foods. The one main disadvantage to GM crops is that the seed controlled by the biotech companies. The idea of stopping world hunger with GM crops is their propaganda. It is true that they could help (even now), however, they want to sell their seed, after all it is a business. And of course poor countries have no money for this. As a result the idea of stopping world hunger is just a selling point that is not really being put to the test. Many are concerned about tampering with plants genetic codes, however, these people are generally uneducated in the field of genetics and horticulture. They view this as “ungodly” and with great fear. It really boils down to a matter of opinion.
