What do u know about the TITANIC after the crash ?
There were 2200 aboard. Of these about 700 were saved and about 1500 died. Several expeditions set out from New England and Newfoundland to recover bodies in the days after the accident. A very few made it back to their families for proper burial. Most were buried in a cemetery in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Many, many bodies were never recovered. Titanic sank some 300 miles from land and many bodies simply floated away before someone could recover them. For the next several months ships would encounter floating bodies near where Titanic sank. Some others eventually washed up on beaches. What an ugly highlight to a seaside picnic!
