What do u guys think of marriage between people of different religions ( Christian + Jewish / Muslim + Christian…), cultures, languages..?
While some people think it’s cute to be “so open minded,” that is usually because they are ignorant of what this really means. A mixed religion marriage can work fine IF: 1) Both are actually atheists with no commitment to their religions 2) One of them is totally willing to give up his/her religion and convert to the other’s religion 3) Both partners become adherents of BOTH religions celebrating the holidays and services of both religions. Outside of these solutions, which each come with their own problems, expect bitter conflict and disrespect over your differences, and possibly even divorce when for instance a Jewish mother unilaterally decides that the children will be raised Jewish and go to Hebrew school, because “that’s Jewish law” or an Islamic man insists his Christian wife cannot go anywhere without him and must wear a veil at all times.
