What do they use to create an animation movie, such as wall-e or kungfu panda?
They use a wide variety of software. Wall-E was made by Pixar. Kung Fu Panda was made by PDI Dreamworks. Those two companies use mostly software they created themselves. There are other similar animation movies created with software you can also buy. For example, Happy Feet was created by Animal Logic who was mostly using Softimage XSI (http://www.softimage.com). Other movies have used Autodesk Maya (http://www.autodesk.com). But all movies end up using a variety of software and some of their own tools.
