What do the theologians study and know about God?
Well, theologians are studying about God. It’s their job; and to hear some of them tell it, they seem to think they know the most about God. After all, studying about God is their calling, job and area of expertise. I’m not a theologian, but I have studied under them; and I hold most of them in high esteem. My late, great professor William Hendricks especially taught me so much about God and how to hold Him in awe. Hendricks said things like this: “The Bible is not systematic theology.” “There is no evidence that God ever quits loving a person — even if the person goes to hell.” About the Trinity, Hendricks quoted some early Baptist father as saying, “The Trinity is not unreasonable, but it is beyond man’s reasoning.” Well, overall, I like theologians — whether they know the most about God or not. What is the world in general studying about God? Who’s studying about God? Worldwide, I suppose most people in most cultures are studying or thinking about their version of God or gods. But f
