What do the terms “probiotic” and “prebiotic” mean?
Probiotic is derived from a Greek word that literally means “pro-life,” i.e., life-sustaining or life-supporting. Probiotics are live microorganisms capable of exercising a positive influence on the health of those who consume them. Such live microorganisms include Lactobacillus acidophilus, Bifidobacterium bifidus, and Lactobacillus casei, which are all found in Mountain High Yoghurt.
