What do the terms “Non-devovled” and “Devolved” mean when referring to scholarship programs?
Non-devolved means departments participate in a central competition administered by our College. Devolved means certain departments receive an annual allocation from our College, based on a formula, and allocate graduate awards at the departmental level. Consult the Graduate Chair in your department as to whether it is designated non-devolved or devolved.
