What do the staggered school starting times mean?
A. Right now all schools – elementary, middle, and high schools – begin the instructional day so close in time to each other that most bus drivers are only able to accommodate driving students one route. By staggering the times schools start on a daily basis, individual drivers could drive more routes, reducing the number of buses needed each day. This practice takes place in many school districts across the country and in neighboring counties.
