What do the Regents course holds mean?
• A. Students who have accumulated more than 45 semester hours (or will have accumulated more than 45 hours at the end of the semester) and have not satisfied the Regents Test requirement must enroll in the Regents preparation class(es) every semester of attendance thereafter until they have passed the test. (See the question above for exceptions for transfer students.) Those who have not passed the reading test must take RGTR 0198, and those who have not passed the essay test must take RGTE 0199. A Regents reading and/or writing course hold is placed on the record of students subject to this requirement. Regents course holds are not removed until the test requirement has been satisfied.
