What do the rating icons mean?
The Trust-O-Meter rating is our members’ assessment of a story’s quality and trustworthiness. All stories on the NewsTrust site are rated for journalistic quality, on a scale of one to five in our Trust-O-Meter. A rating of one means low-quality journalism, and a five rating means high-quality journalism, according to our reviewers. A detailed explanation of our rating system is provided below.
