What do the people of Ghana think about their team in the competition?
For us it is already a bit of a victory because even if Ghana don’t qualify for the Final, at least we know we have a future for our national team. We don’t have Stephen Appiah, we don’t Sulley Muntari, we don’t have Michael Essien and with a young team we still got through to the semi-final. It means that without leaders we are still potentially able to achieve something, especially in the World Cup. It means that when the top players are fit, apart from Essien obviously they know that they have to work hard to get their position in the team. How do you assess the four semi-finalists? I have seen most of the games. Algeria and Egypt are collectively and technically very good and at any moment they can make the difference. They are the teams that have impressed in the way that they have been able to bring rhythm to the game. Ghana have not really impressed. Nigeria have not impressed at all. And the tournament overall? The standard has not been very high. We have seen only a few games
