What do the Orthodox do on Palm Sunday?
Fasting from meat, fish and dairy products also continues until the Resurrection Service (Easter Day). In some areas, such as the Greek Islands, it became a local custom to eat fish on Palm Sunday, and this gradually spread to other parts of Greece, although this is regarded as not being theologically correct, as the Church canons (rules) state that wine and oil are permitted on this day, but not fish.
