What do the objects on the Choctaw Indian Nation Flag represent?

The Choctaw Indian Tribe was sub-divided into three separate groups, or “districts” named after their Chiefs: Apuckshunubbee, Mushulatubbee, and Pushmataha. The Choctaw Flag features a calumet, a bow and three arrows symbolizing the three districts. Our Nations page features a reproduction of the Seal of the Choctaw Nation featuring the three objects.
